“Visiting Case Vecchie at the Anna Tasca Lanza Cooking School for the first time in 1998 was like coming home. The approach through the green rolling countryside left a deep impression, as some places in the world will do. Rural beauty softens the heart. There was a noticeable feeling of falling into a familiar place, yet knowingly seeing it for the first time.” — Peggy Markel of Peggy Markel’s Culinary Adventures

Repost from Anna Tasca Lanza Cooking School, August 3, 2016

Peggy’s love for Sicily came to form nearly 20 years ago and since that time, she’s given over to her addiction of all things Sicilian and has been a frequent visitor to the Anna Tasca Lanza Cooking School.

Because of the special place it holds in her heart and the good she believes that comes from truly understanding the process of food through the lens of culture, tradition, and place, she generously offered to purchase a round-trip flight for one student interested in attending Cook the Farm in 2017.

Peggy offers her own two Culinary Adventures associated with Sicily and the Tasca Family: The Island of Salina visiting the Tasca estate of Capofaro, and Sicily: A Different Italy visiting the Anna Tasca Lanza Cooking School and Regaleali.
