Sardinia, Italy

A Private Culinary Sojourn with Peggy Markel and Letitia Clark
May 10-15, 2026 | May TBD 2027

Sardinia is somewhat of a phenomenon. It’s the second-largest island in the Mediterranean known for its stunning coastline, crystalline waters, and a rugged mountainous interior dotted with Nuraghi,  Bronze Age stone towers. It is equally renowned for its unique culinary traditions and exceptional wines.

Chent’annos a pane e casu – a hundred years of bread and cheese.” A Sardinian wish for long life, rooted in simple food shared generously.

The food, travel and hospitality community is a small world internationally. And therefore, collaboration can be very creative. One such connection is Letitia Clark, an English friend, who is married to a Sardinian and has 4 cookbooks to her credit about Sardinian food and  living in Sardinia.

She and I have connected over the years on our love of lemons and living in Italy. The time has finally ripened and we have curated our first program together with a few artisan hotelier and cheese makers. Sardinia is somewhat of a phenomena.  It’s the second largest island in the Med known for its stunning coastline, crystalline waters, and a mountainous countryside studded with “nuraghi”,  Bronze Age stone towers.  Sardinia is known not only for it’s unique food traditions and stellar wines.
