NEW! Uruguay, South America

José Ignacio · Estancia Vik · Garzón Hills · Montevideo
February 24 - March 3, 2027

Join us for 8 languid and delightful days in South America

Join us in exploring one of South America’s most quietly magnificent countries. Here the pace slows of its own accord, the asado smoke rises unhurried into the evening sky, and the Tannat pours freely. You won’t have to try to unwind. Uruguay will do it for you.

We begin at the Atlantic shore in José Ignacio, that small and luminous fishing village that has somehow remained itself despite the chic crowd that loves it. From there we move inland across open grasslands to Estancia Vik, where art and gaucho life coexist on four thousand acres. Then comes Garzón — a sweet, sleepy hamlet so unhurried it feels like a dream. We tuck into a private villa and let the hills do their work, with our creative exploration of writing and photography with local artist and dynamo, Heidi Lender.

Along the way: horseback rides with gauchos, a table at Francis Mallmann’s legendary Hotel Garzón, a private pop-up dinner, and meals at some of the most celebrated tables in Uruguay. Come hungry. Come curious. Come ready to be surprised.

We are delighted to welcome Willow King as co-leader for this Uruguay adventure. Lifelong student of food culture, Willow brings a rare combination of warmth, curiosity, and deep knowledge of the table to this journey. A writer, horse person and lover of all things South America, she is thrilled to offer this trip to guests and adventurers from around the world.
