Stunning tribal Berber kilim, Khnifra, Middle Atlas.

If you like to collect unusual pieces, this is one for you from the Khnifra region of the Middle Atlas,made with 100% sheep’s wool. Unlike a traditional kilim, this style is used for many functions; a rug on the floor, a wall hanging, traditionally used to embellish a tent. When folded they are used for transport bags for grain.  Perhaps that is why it is woven differently. A stunning piece in case you would like to go tribal on your next journey and prefer to leave your suitcase at home, Can also double as a cape or a Beduin bed. Going nomadic is the new black.
