Caroline Douglas is one of my dearest friends and one of the most creative and accomplished artisans that I know. Her work is coveted and meaningful. This is an inspired collector’s piece. Caroline joined me in Morocco in 2006 and fell in love. It inspires her to return often.

“I was inspired by early Moroccan clothing for the design of the costume. She represents a noble and strong mountain woman. I used symbols from the Atlas Mountain area to decorate her skirt and the frontispiece is an impression from a leather band found in Marrakech.
