Viki Psihoyos gives us a taste of Balanchine, just off Li Galli, “the dance island” a small atoll off the Amalfi coast and once home to Russian ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev.
In Amalfi, we found ourselves off the beaten path and in the kitchen of a dear friend’s mother, who taught us to make a traditional Pasticciotto Napoletano, Pastry Cream Pie with Black Cherries. Notice the way that she uses her hands—both to punctuate her speech and to mix the batter! Find the full recipe for this lovely (and easy!) dessert HERE.
Francisco, local bottega owner and our personal food guide, explains the anatomy of a sweet Andalusian treat, Chocolate con Churros. “In the morning, you can tell where the market is by the smell of the Churro.” Watch the full video HERE.
Our first stop in Morocco!
