A Window into My World

It’s a perfect spring day and I’m drinking morning tea looking down Via del Corno from my Florentine palazzo. It’s Earth Day, April 22nd, 2018 and I am reflecting on my time here on earth. I’m writing from where I am at this moment, appreciating every twist and turn.

Voilá: Our New Logo!

I was traveling in India when contemplating a new logo last year and saw these beautiful circular black and white designs on the side of buildings and houses that I felt drawn to… They were intricate and mysterious and I thought, that’s it! I want a symbol that draws you in, intriguing and beautiful. It took time, but we landed on this labyrinthine design for our new logo which signifies not only wandering but walking a purposeful path.

The Beauty of Persimmons

Persimmons hang like jewels on leafless branches of the tree, like ornaments. Harvested and strung up in front of Japanese country houses like coral necklaces, this colorful display announces the end of fall and beginning of winter. Time to go in ~and digest~ and dream the year to come. They say if you can dream it, you can make it happen.

An elegant city boasting the no.1 restaurant in the world, Osteria Francescana, the oldest Salumeria in Europe, Salumeria Guisti, and the oldest Balsamic vinegar, well over a hundred years old and used as medicine.( La Vecchia Dispensa being my favorite.)
